When you walk into The Attic at 500 E. Kennedy Blvd., take the elevator to the fourth floor and stroll through the front doors, the first thing you’ll notice is our diverse beer selection designed to delight a variety of tastes. Tampa Bay’s very own Cigar City Brewing has a big influence on our draught beer selections. That’s because we’re dedicated to bringing you the best that Tampa Bay has to offer.

Here’s a list of the beers we proudly serve on draught. We hope you enjoy one – or all – of them soon.

Cigar City Brewing Cubano-Style Espresso Brown Ale

As you might expect, the flavor that hits your palate the moment your lips meet this velvety brown ale is espresso and lots of it. This smooth, easy drinking beer tastes like a cup of coffee with a slight kick. It also has a chocolate finish, thanks to a healthy mix of cacao nibs. Along with dominant espresso and chocolate flavors, there are hints of vanilla, spices and dark fruit. This beer pours a dark-brown color, with light froth and little carbonation. It suits the palate of both coffee drinkers and beer lovers.

Cigar City Cider and Mead Homemade Apple Pie Cider

With a light color and a sweet taste, every sip of Homemade Apple Pie Cider tastes like piecrust. This distinct cider has a light tone and hints of vanilla and cinnamon. It balances fruity sweetness with a refreshing, crisp finish. This cider works well with warmer days; however, with an ABV of 6.9%, it’s important to move cautiously. This cider will sneak up on you, if you’re not careful.

Cigar City Brewing Florida Cracker

Another great beer for summer days, the Florida Cracker is a wheat beer that mixes a French Saison yeast strain with hints of orange peel and coriander. The end result is a fruity, slightly spicy and refreshing flavor. Although Florida Cracker has strong flavor for a lighter beer, it still manages to quench your thirst. While this beer doesn’t have as high an ABV as the Homemade Apple Pie Cider, it’s certainly more of a “gulping beer” than a “sipping beer,” which makes it quite tasty and dangerous.

Full Sail Session Lager

Full Sail Session Lager is a mild, easy drinking lager with a crisp finish. It’s not too hoppy, but its flavor is bold enough that it lingers with each sip. It’s considered a “pre-prohibition-style” lager and has a clean, malty taste that makes it thoroughly drinkable.

Cigar City Brewing Strawberry Shortcake

Appropriately titled, this beer satisfies taste buds with a mixture of delicious strawberries and a biscuit-y finish. It has a golden color with a medium head. It’s best enjoyed cold, allowing its light carbonation to provide a crisp flavor that balances its sweetness.

Yuengling Lager

For more traditional tastes, we pour Yuengling Lager. Yuengling comes from America’s oldest continuously operating brewery, and it has a flavor that’s as refreshing as any other lager. It’s amber in color and has a medium thickness. Overall, it has a malty flavor with a hint of hops. It’s the type of beer that works well with beach days and fall football tailgates. It’s hard to go wrong with a Yuengling.

Cycle Brewing Crank IPA

Sharp and fruity, Crank IPA pops your palate with a burst of citrus, pineapple and mango flavors. You can taste a combination of hops and malt, giving it a bit of smoothness without dulling its hoppy tone. It’s orange and opaque in appearance, and it has a citrus and pine aroma. Crank IPA is rare find away from the Cycle Brewery, so take advantage of this great offering while it lasts.

Yuengling Light

The lighter version of this storied beer offers a similar full, refreshing taste, but with fewer calories. Its flavor has hints of caramel and corn. It also has a slightly toasted flavor with a light finish. For a light beer, it imparts a level of taste on the tongue. It’s not your run of the mill light beer; it’s a solid selection if you want a beer that’s flavorful without being heavy.
The Attic also has a number of bottled and caned beers to complement their selection of drafts. If you’re hungry, The Attic has sandwiches, soups and snacks, too. Visit us today to enjoy the best local and national craft beer brands and an incredible view of the downtown Tampa skyline.
